Believers Believe

This may sound strange, but
as I was watching TV one day,
I stumbled across
a show on Bigfoot. Only seen
by a handful of unbelievable believers
and caught only on scrambled footage,
the creature remains an unproven mystery,
a figment of an unbalanced backwoods imagination. But
the unproven does not equal the nonexistent. Never
does the headline read:
"Hiker Stumbles Across Bear Skeleton."

But black, brown, polar, and panda
wander the forest, tundra, and zoo.
Ursa lives, ever changing,
never dying? This may sound strange, but
as I stumbled across a show on Bigfoot,
a hiker stumbled across a bear skeleton.
